Northeast Los Angeles Harvests

The farm is nestled in a hillside neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles which has a unique blend of coastal and desert microclimate conditions. Suited for plants in hardiness zones 9 & 10 and Southern California microclimate zone 21 (as per Sunset Magazine Western Garden), the farm also has its own micro-microclimates. We are exploring these variations in moisture and temperature by cultivating the same plant types in various areas to determine their optimal growth zones.

These plant lists will be updated based on how successfully we grow throughout the year. Currently, they include plants we grew and successfully harvested or plants that are in the process of growing.
